Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic the You Are Home team have been working hard, with the safety and wellbeing of all of our guests and staff always at the forefront. We prioritised implementing a set of clear policies and procedures, that are under constant review, adapting for the current climate.

This is to ensure that we could continue to provide COVID safe accommodation, for those needing to travel for essential business. Let us explain how we adapted our process…


Checking In

All of our Check-Ins are now contactless. Whilst a member of the YAH team will be there to greet you, show you to your apartment and of course answer any questions you may have, they will also abide by government guidelines on social distancing and have the appropriate PPE. Your keys will also be handed to you within a sealed packet to minimise contact.

Prior to you entering your new home, our outstanding housekeeping team thoroughly clean your apartment. We also have the additional protective stage of using a Microbe Shield surface spray, to ensure a COVID secure living environment. This spray keeps surfaces germ-free for up to 30 days and does not wash off during normal cleaning procedures.

Particular attention is paid to all touchpoints within the apartment and around our buildings with regular cleaning of the wider communal areas.


Throughout your stay

A benefit of our serviced apartments is the flexible weekly cleans. These take place at a convenient time when you are able to vacate the apartment. In order to eliminate cross contamination, each apartment has their own set of Microfibre cloths which are used to clean that apartment only. Every housekeeper is also provided the necessary PPE.

Hygiene is extremely important to keep everyone safe therefore sanitiser stations are present in all our buildings, as well as your own individual bottle waiting for you when you first move in.

As mentioned previously when you come into contact with any YAH staff member we promise to keep a safe social distance, not only with you but with each other also. We currently keep staff presence on site to a minimum, however we are all locally based and just a phone call away, day or night!


Support for self-isolating

On top of our regular service, we have introduced specialist support for those who need to self-isolate within their home from home. This includes delivering your food shopping and parcels plus anything else we can do to help you feel comfortable. Even if you just want someone to chat to or some advice, our friendly guest services team are always on hand for you.
